ENGINEERING AND DESIGN
Conceptual Studies
The high-risk investment profile necessitates that owners and operations must choose the right strategy to ensure return on investments. Conceptual studies examine legal, technical, financial and sometimes even environmental and societal implications of different solutions.

Qualified expertise to assess project feasibility
Our conceptual studies are based on estimated production rates and reservoir composition. They account for process simulation, flow assur- ance, and loss prevention strategies, including material selection. We also include life cycle cost estimation, weight and cost estimation and business case calculations.

Conceptual studies focusing on operability
Our specialists focus on designing solutions that are easy to construct, operate and maintain. We provide consultancy on best and solutions that will optimise operations, reduce cost and risk whilst keeping down-time to a minimum

HSE and regulatory compliance
Our conceptual studies also consider health, safety and environmental (HSE) aspects, and we offer risk evaluations and environmental screen- ings to safeguard people and the environment. Moreover, we identify legislative and environmental requirements and devise environmental programmes comprising all necessary steps for obtaining approvals and permits. We have intimate knowledge of national standards, regulato- ry framework and authority requirements enabling us to support clients locally.

ENGINEERING AND DESIGN
Front End Engineering Design (FEED)
The FEED study matures the selected concept to viable solution that is east to construct and operate. The primary purpose of the FEED study is to provide a viable solution and a cost estimate, which enable the final investment decision. Moreover, it provides the basis for the EPC or detailed engineering tender and contract.

Our Feed study enhances the full project lifecycle
In the Feed study, our specialists consider the entire lifecycle, enabling us to present robust solutions that create value from commissioning to decommissioning of the asset. We aim for design solutions that are easy to fabricate, install, operate and maintain. Our FEED studies are therefore geared towards making the right operational and material choices, reducing cost and risks, whilst maximising availability.

Deliverables in the FEED phase
Our technical definition and cost estimates for FEED will be accompanied by a number of deliverables that substantiate the estimates and serve as a basis for the EPC contract and procurement of long lead times.
HSE and regulatory compliance
Our FEED studies also consider health, safety and environmental (HSE) aspects, and we offer risk evaluations and environmental screenings to safeguard people and the environment. Moreover, we identify legislative and environmental requirements and devise environmental programmes comprising all necessary steps for obtaining approvals and permits. We have intimate knowledge of national standards, regulato- ry framework and authority requirements enabling us to support clients locally.
